Mr. Terry Adkins

I am truly blessed and thankful  to be part of the St. Brigid community. The St. Brigid parish and school have fine reputations with very proud traditions and history of Catholic education and worship.

My career in Catholic education includes rewarding time spent in the middle school classroom teaching science and social studies at Holy Angels in Dayton, and a tenure as the principal at Queen of Peace School in Hamilton, Ohio.

In addition to earning Masters degrees in Science of Education and Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton, I am currently participating in the Catholic Leadership Institute Project (CLiP).  The expressed mission of the project is “to inspire and develop Catholic school leaders to animate Catholic schools for a vibrant future.”

Time spent with my family, wife Kim and four adult daughters with families (8 grandchildren) and our two dogs, includes favorite activities of hiking, biking, traveling and just enjoying our times together.  Born, raised, and a lifelong resident of Miami Valley, I am passionate about the importance of the values instilled by our Catholic schools.  The lessons and morals learned from my own Catholic elementary school experience are the foundation of my personal faith.

As a Catholic school leader I am guided by the Archdiocese’s Unified Mission: “Vital to the evangelizing and educational mission of the Catholic church, we shall be a Christ-centered community dedicated to faith formation, academic excellence, and individual growth of our students, all rooted in the Gospel message of Jesus.”
