Catholic Schools Week

Students will participate in many fun activities during Catholic Schools Week, Jan 28 thru February 3, including daily trivia and visits by Father John and Deacon Roger.

Our theme is St. Brigid, the saint and the school.

Important Reminders:
Monday – First day to begin collecting items for the Xenia Women’s Recovery Center. 1st grade: toothbrush
2nd grade : deodorant
3rd grade: tissue packs
4th grade: soap
5th grade: conditioner 6th grade: lotion
7th grade: toothpaste 8th grade: shampoo Kindergarten: soap

Tuesday- Crazy Sock Day-students may wear any type of crazy socks
Wednesday- 100’s Day-Students in grades K-5 should bring in 100 items to display on their desks. Students get 2 free slices of pizza, 2 free milks & will eat in their communities in the PAC. 8th and 7th grades will attend and participate in the regional Catholic Schools Mass at St. Peters.

Thursday- Father John visit-importance of Catholic Schools/education, ways to be thankful to parents for sacrifices they make, schedule coming. Grades 1,2,3 to Victoria Theater in morning.

Friday- St. Brigid Spirit Wear Day. Students may wear St. Brigid jerseys, t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc. over their regular uniform pants, shorts, gym shorts, or skirts/jumpers.

The Spelling Bee for grades 4-8 will be at 8:15 in the lunchroom. Parents are welcome. Our winner will compete at St. Helen School on February 9th with 10 other local Catholic School winners.

In the afternoon, students will play bingo and have cupcakes provided by P.I.E. to celebrate the closing of Catholic Schools Week. If your child has a food allergy or food intolerance please send in a sweet treat for your child.
