Welcome to St. Brigid School! Now in our 171st year, St. Brigid is the longest continuously operating Catholic school in the Dayton region. Often called this region’s “hidden gem,” our school nourishes the faith, minds, and hearts of 278 students – from preschool to eighth grade. Enrollment is at its highest level in more than three decades. Families are encouraged to inquire early.
Our low student-to-teacher ratio allows our passionate and experienced educators, who average 23 years of teaching experience, to know and support each child while building strong partnerships with parents. We believe parents are the primary educators and catechists of their children, and we work closely with families to support each child’s academic and spiritual growth. Within our virtues based culture, virtuous habits and personal responsibility are intentionally practiced and celebrated each day.
St. Brigid is a warm and welcoming school filled with joyful students and staff. We are a private Catholic school with a predominantly Catholic student body and a strong Catholic identity. We also warmly welcome families of all faiths and work diligently to make a St. Brigid education accessible to families regardless of income.
We are blessed that our students consistently score above local, state, and national averages in reading and mathematics. Since Ohio established the Third Grade Reading Guarantee in 2012, St. Brigid students have maintained a 100% passing rate. We are also proud to be a Purple Star school and warmly welcome military families into a community where they will feel supported and at home.
