Mrs. Julie Roberts

I love teaching – I believe that God has called me to serve Him as a teacher in order to help each of my students realize that God created each one of them uniquely and with perfect love.  My mission as a 5th/6th grade religion and language arts teacher here at St. Brigid is to help each student realize their God-given gifts and talents and help them use those gifts and talents to become the best version of themselves.

My first 21 years in Catholic education were spent in the Springfield area, beginning at St. Bernard from 1999-2005.  The Catholic Schools in the Springfield area were then consolidated into Springfield Catholic Central, which is where I spent my teaching career from 2005-Spring 2020.  Through the years I have taught all subjects at one time or another in 4th-6th grades.

I am thrilled to be here at St. Brigid teaching Language Arts and religion. Reading is one of the most important skills needed for success in life, and I feel privileged to play a part in helping students become better readers – ones that constantly think critically about what they read and can comprehend what it is that they are reading. Writing is also a passion for me, and I hope to pass that passion on to my students as well.

In religion class students will explore the Catholic faith and learn how they can become people of Christ and grow closer to God – the whole reason we are here at St. Brigid! Students will learn how to make wise choices in their lives so they can be true disciples of Christ and experience the love that God has for them.
