Mrs. Kate Tiffany – STEM K-6th

For Mrs. Kate Tiffany, STEM has never been confined to a classroom. An educator with a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology, she is also an FAA Certified Airframe Mechanic whose aviation experience brings science, technology, and problem-solving to life. Her unique blend of educational experience and real-world technical expertise helps students connect learning to the world beyond it.

During her 28 years at Greene County Career Center, Mrs. Tiffany developed innovative learning experiences, including a curriculum exploring American history through flight. Her work earned her an award of Southwest Ohio Tech Teacher of the Year and a nomination from the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force to a prestigious international residency program.

Her passion for flight has also given her opportunities to meet several astronauts, including two who walked on the moon. She is currently restoring her 1945 Piper Cub airplane, an ongoing reminder that learning never stops.

Curiosity has shaped both Mrs. Tiffany’s career and her approach to teaching. She loves helping students ask questions, solve problems, and experience the excitement of discovering how things work. Guided by her faith and inspired by 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, she seeks to create a classroom rooted in kindness, respect, and a love of learning.

St. Brigid holds a special place in Mrs. Tiffany’s heart. Her children, Katie and Nick, attended St. Brigid School, and she is an active member of the parish choir.
