It is my privilege to begin working as your school counselor at St. Brigid for the 2026-2027 school year. What a blessing it will be to work in such a caring and faith filled school. I look forward to getting to know each of you and helping our students thrive this year! With many years of dedicated service in education, I am excited to bring my wisdom, compassion, and historical perspective to St. Brigid but I am even more excited to continue to learn and grow as a person and counselor from our students, parents, and staff.
I began my career in 1990 as a learning disabilities teacher, before transitioning into full-time school counseling at Mad River Middle School eight years later. After leaving Mad River Middle School I continued my career in counseling as a school counselor at St. Helen School where I have enjoyed working as a school counselor for the last twenty-three years. I have been very fortunate to work with so many talented catholic school teachers, administrators and students throughout the years who have made a positive impact on my life both professionally and personally. My greatest joy is helping my students learn how to problem solve, realize their potential, overcome adversity, gain resilience and build confidence so they can become their most successful self.
I was born and raised in Beavercreek, Ohio. As a catholic myself, I truly value catholic education. I attended St. Helen School for 7th and 8th grade and graduated from Carroll High School. I received both my Degree in Education and my Masters Degree in School Counseling from the University of Dayton. I have been married to my loving husband Marty for 27 years. We have three amazing children who we are very proud of. Our son Jack works in Dayton as an Aerospace Engineer, our daughter Lucy works in Dayton as a Marketing Coordinator and our youngest son, Marty is a junior at the University of Dayton. Our family loves playing and watching all sports! Our favorite teams are the Columbus Blue Jackets Hockey Team, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football team and the Dayton Flyers Basketball team. I spend a good deal of my free time with my family, our sweet dog Gretzky, and with my parents who both still live in Beavercreek. I also enjoy relaxing by the beach, water aerobics, cooking, baking, and reading. I can’t wait to get to know my new St. Brigid Family!!
