I am entering my 22nd year of teaching with the 2022-23 school year. Fifteen of those years were at St. Peter School in Huber Heights teaching both fifth and sixth grades. In my school career I have taught Math, Reading, Language Arts, and Religion. I am very excited to be a part of the staff at St. Brigid! I continue to teach Math, but have now added the new adventures of Social Studies, Science and Art to my day.
I have been a part of Catholic Education my whole life. I attended grade school at Ascension in Kettering, then Carroll High School, and finally finished my education at The University of Dayton graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 2001. I chose to explore teaching jobs in Catholic schools because I wanted to pass along the values and experiences that I received in my own education. I was blessed to get my first teaching position at St. Peter. I hope to bring my experience from my teaching throughout the years as well as my family traditions and values to the students at St. Brigid.
There are many ways how to teach a child and what to teach a child. Students will be learning the objectives set forth by the Archdiocesan of Cincinnati’s graded course of study in Math, Science, and Social Studies. I will also be helping to guide students in moral, spiritual, and social values.
