23 Mar Week 1 Remote Learning Recap (March, 2020)
Dear St. Brigid Families,
Thank you for your support and collaboration as we have completed our first week of this grand adventure. I continue to be awed by the efforts and dedication of our staff to create such excellent and appropriate online learning resources and with the transfer of our textbooks and school resources to strictly home activities.
Week 2 should be even more productive as many kinks have been worked out with some of the resources. Please continue to stay in close touch with your teachers or me with questions, concerns, suggestions and observations. We are here for you and the students and are available 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday in our virtual classrooms and office.
Beginning Monday, we are following the governor’s request to work from home if at all possible, so the school office will be closed to visitors. If you need to get documents or other information to the school office, please mail, email or arrange by appointment for me to meet you at the front door. Mrs. Dee Brown and I are constantly checking for emails and phone messages.
You and your families are in my prayers. Stay well.
Prayer for a Pandemic
May we who are merely inconvenienced
Remember those whose lives are at stake.
May we who have no risk factors
Remember those most vulnerable.
May we who have the luxury of working from home
Remember those who must choose between preserving their health or making their rent.
May we who have the flexibility to care for our children when their schools close
Remember those who have no options.
May we who have to cancel our trips
Remember those that have no place to go.
May we who are losing our margin money in the tumult of the economic market
Remember those who have no margin at all.
May we who settle in for a quarantine at home
Remember those who have no home.
During this time when we cannot physically wrap our arms around each other,
Let us yet find ways to be the loving embrace of God to our neighbors.
