St. Brigid Parish is a vibrant and growing community of over two thousand individuals. Steeped in a history reaching back 163 years, our faith in God and Jesus Christ His Son has been unwavering. Parish Campus – The parish consists of the Church, Parish Office, School, Parish Activity Center, modular, storage building and St. Brigid Cemetery on W. Second St. in Xenia.
Church – St. Brigid Church, established in 1849, is the oldest of six Roman Catholic communities in Greene County and is the only Catholic parish in Xenia.
Parish Membership – The first small group of pioneer Xenia Catholics numbered just five families. St. Brigid Parish currently has over 1,000 registered families with an estimated number of over 2,500 parishioners.
Ministry Area – Serving primarily the central and south-central sections of Greene County, St. Brigid Parish is within the Springfield Deanery of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. We share a pastor with St. Augustine in Jamestown and St. Paul in Yellow Springs, our regional partners.
Baptisms – 13 so far in 2019 and 3 adults who entered the Church via the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).
RCIA – At the Easter Vigil Mass in 2019 we had 6 adults join the Church.
Marriages –1 in 2019.
Deaths– 12 in 2019 so far.
Parish School of Religion –61 students in the 2018-2019 school year.
St. Brigid Grade School – 237 students in the 2018-19 school year.
