St. Brigid Parish is a vibrant community of over two thousand individuals. Steeped in a history reaching back over 170 years, our faith in God and Jesus Christ His Son has been unwavering. Parish Campus – The parish consists of the Church, Parish Office, School, Parish Activity Center, modular, storage building and St. Brigid Cemetery on W. Second St. in Xenia.
Church – St. Brigid Church, established in 1849, is the oldest of six Roman Catholic communities in Greene County and is the only Catholic parish in Xenia.
Parish Membership – The first small group of pioneer Xenia Catholics numbered just five families. St. Brigid Parish currently has over 1,000 registered families with an estimated number of over 2,500 parishioners.
Ministry Area – Serving primarily the central and south-central sections of Greene County, St. Brigid Parish is within the Springfield Deanery of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. We are a part of the Northeast-3 Family of Parishes and share a regional office with St. Paul in Yellow Springs and St. Augustine in Jamestown.
Baptisms – 22 so far in 2022.
RCIA – At the Easter Vigil Mass in 2022, we had 7 adults join the Church.
Marriages – 1 so far in 2022.
Deaths – 10 so far in 2022.
Parish School of Religion – 36 students in the 2022-2023 school year.
St. Brigid Grade School – 212 students in the 2022-2023 school year.
