ALL youth in 6th-12th grade are welcome to attend our youth group nights! On the third Wednesday of the month from 6pm-8pm we have game and ice breakers followed by food and a lesson. This is a great opportunity for youth to find a place to belong, have fun, learn about their faith, and make friends.
This year we will learn how to hear the voice of God. Many of us can remember someone’s first steps. I can remember my little sisters. Watching her take her first steps was both exhilarating and beautiful. The first steps in our faith lives is to be able to hear the voice of God, the WORD, the logos. Learning to hear Jesus in our lives is both the beginning of our faith lives and its deepening, even more so than someone’s first steps this year will be exhilarating and beautiful. By coming each month, you will learn how to hear God’s voice, or in other words, you will hear Jesus speak to you. Through immersion into the story of the road to Emmaus in Luke 24:13-35 we will rely on the Holy Spirit to reveal to us how the Lord comes along next to us and walks along side us in our journey.
